Michael Carter is the President of Carter Family Real Estate.
Michael is well known in the national and Dallas/Fort Worth commercial real estate markets has worked nationally in the commercial investment sales arena. Michael is a well-qualified commercial real estate executive with over 30 years of experience negotiating transactions as a developer, investor, broker, landlord and tenant.
Michael is recognized for creative deal structuring and handling multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. Expert negotiating qualifications – creatively negotiated and closed complex transactions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Michael has managed more than $100 million in commercial development projects, primarily Class A retail centers. Michael also brokered and sold many large office and retail assets in the $20 million dollar range.
Michael attended The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and received a BBA in Business Administration. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas and is a member of the, International Council of Shopping Centers and North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.
Over his career, Mr. Carter has worked with Dallas area and national commercial real estate firms such as Marcus & Millichap, Regency Centers, United Commercial Realty/Chain Links, The Weitzman Group and Hopkins-Shafer. His areas of expertise include commercial asset acquisition & investment sales, retail development, land assemblage; project leasing and brokerage sales force operations. Mr. Carter has closed transactions with notable clients such as Target, Kohl’s, Safeway, CVS Drugs, Commercial Net Lease REIT, GSA (the real estate department of the Federal government), Dividend Capital Total Realty Trust and JDL Castle Corporation.
